Trump’s 2A Record For His First 100 Days

One of the reasons that Donald Trump received such an overwhelming number of votes in the 2024 Presidential election (so many that even Democrats had difficulty saying that the election had been “stolen”) was because of Trump’s support of our Second Amendment rights. Millions of Americans were tired of the lies and infringements of our rights by the Biden administration.

So, with the first one hundred days of his second term under his belt, this is a good time to look into how Trump has done with keeping his promises to legal gun owners and pro-2A advocates here in the U.S.

Fortunately, Michael Clements did just that for us. Clements writes,

Gun rights advocates say the president has kept that promise in the first 100 days of his second term, and that he began fulfilling it on Jan. 21, the day after he was inaugurated.

That’s when the website for President Joe Biden’s White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention went dark. The office was a crown jewel of Biden’s gun control plan, along with the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, which he signed on June 25, 2022.

That was a good start, certainly. That office should have never been put into place, and it needed to go.

But there’s more:

On Feb. 7, Trump directed Attorney General Pam Bondi to find ways the federal government may be infringing on the Second Amendment and to “present a proposed plan of action to the President, through the Domestic Policy Advisor, to protect the Second Amendment rights of all Americans.”

Also:

Trump’s Department of Justice (DOJ) rescinded the ATF’s Enhanced Regulatory Enforcement Policy, also known as the “Zero Tolerance Policy,” on April 7.

Additionally, liberty-minded Americans were happy to see Bondi kill off Biden-era programs that spent absurd amounts of money on ways to stifle good law enforcement methodologies and to justify stealing Americans’ gun rights.

So, all-in-all, it looks like Trump’s first one hundred days in office have been good to legal gun owners in America.

Now, if Congress will just get him a national reciprocity bill to sign (which he promised to do if Congress passes it), that would go a long way towards freeing people from the tyranny of anti-2A zealots, and we’d all love to see that.
