Road Rager Learns His Lesson The HARD Way

One of the first things that needs to be learned before a person considers carrying a firearm is to control their temper.

Look, the point of daily carry (which I absolutely advocate) is not so that you can bully people or blow off steam by threatening people. The point of daily carry is being able to protect yourself and others from violence (including government violence. Read the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights again.).

So, when I see someone who can’t contain their rage over things that aren’t life threatening, I know that is a person who absolutely should not have a firearm until they grow up.

That means that adults throwing tantrums and people screaming in the middle of public parks because they don’t like the outcome of an election are the kind of people without the emotional maturity to safely handle a firearm even if they are legally allowed to.

And those people are the crazies who do stuff like the road rager that we’re talking about today. Dave Urbanski gives us the details:

Chicago police said a road rage suspect opened fire on another motorist earlier this week, but it turns out the victim is a concealed carrier — and came out on top in the shootout.

Urbanski continues:

After the exchange of gunfire, the road rage suspect reportedly crashed his car into a building and then took off running.

This entire situation is just nuts. Pulling out a gun because you’re upset about traffic or someone’s driving is foolishness. Just slow down and let the offending driver go. It’s simply not worth your pride to pull a gun over such a petty issue.

But the road rager did.

Fortunately, the would be victim was able to shoot back and save the day.

And this is just another example of why you should carry every day:to protect yourself from the very real dangers presented by the immature and the foolish.
