A .22LR With AR-Type Options? Yes

One of the things that make AR-type firearms so popular is the customization options. Want a different barrel? Install a customized barrel. Want a different stock? Install a customized stock. Want to customize something else? You can customize almost the entire firearm.

Of course, it’s easy to understand why people like this customization. It gives options. It allows you to make the gun look or perform the way that you want it to.

Of course, the ability to customize other firearms is something that many people have wished for, and some companies are starting to pay attention.

One such company is Patriot Ordinance Factory who are now offering a pistol that is not just customizable, but is customizable with AR-type customizations. From the POF-USA website:

The receiver accepts AR-15 pattern stock and brace options, and the trigger and selector are also compatible with AR-15 options.

David Crane gives us additional details:

And, last but not least for Patriot Ordnance Factory (POF-USA) at SHOT Show 2020 was the new POF-USA Rebel .22 ultra-lightweight .22LR pistol with AR-type controls. Just how lightweight is it? Try 3.25 lbs (pounds). Now, that’s light. The Rebel .22 also conveniently and intelligently utilzes ubiquitous Ruger 10/22 .22LR mags (magazines) in all lengths/capacities, but you can see the 10/22 25-rounder in the accompanying photos and video. Needless to say, you can find 10/22 mags pretty much everywhere, as it’s basically the Glock mag of the .22LR rifle world.

Now, as you can see in the picture above, this pistol is not going to be your everyday carry (or any other form of concealed carry). Especially with accessories, this pistol is bigger than your average pistol.

But if you want some interesting options for your pistol, the Rebel .22 looks like it’s going to provide some pistol options that have been in short supply for that size of firearm.

So, if you want more customization for your pistol, the Rebel .22 may be one to take a look at.
