This Move By 1 State’s Governor Will Drive Anti-Gunners Crazy

Anybody familiar with American politics knows how often political issues are split consistently between the two major parties and that voters that identify with each party tend to agree with that party’s political platform.

For example, if you think of yourself as a Republican voter, then, you’re more likely to support gun rights and to be pro-life on the abortion issue. On the flip side, Democrat voters are more likely to be for gun control and pro-choice on abortion.

There are a number of other issues that split this way between the two parties, but today’s issue may surprise you. Why? Because it’s something that I think that we can all agree shouldn’t be a political issue: CoVid-19 vaccines.

See, Democrats are much more likely to believe that all Americans should be forced to take a CoVid-19 vaccine, but Republicans are more likely to think that people should have the a choice as to whether they take a vaccine.

In that light, the office of West Virginia Governor Jim Justice made a move that will drive anti-gun Democrats crazy. Phil Kabler writes,

Chuck Boggs said Monday he got a call out of the blue from the governor’s office, asking if he could supply the state with 35 top-of-the-line customized rifles and 35 top-of-the-line customized shotguns for Gov. Jim Justice’s vaccination incentive sweepstakes.

However, Boggs said he wasn’t surprised he got the call, since he said he’s probably the only gun dealer in the state, and one of the few on the East Coast, that could handle an order of that size.

“There’s only a couple of dealers in the eastern U.S. they could have dealt with, no question about that,” said Boggs, who has operated Boggs Gun Shop in Charleston for 47 years.

According to the invoice obtained from the governor’s office through a Freedom of Information Act request, the governor’s office paid Boggs a total of $145,880 for the 70 firearms given away in the first round of the “Do It For Babydog” vaccination incentive sweepstakes.

That included $111,965 for 35 Benelli custom, engraved rifles, at $3,199 each, and $33,915 for 35 Henry custom, engraved shotguns at $969 each.

That’s right, the West Virginia’s Governor’s Office gave away seventy guns to try to entice folks in West Virginia to get vaccinated.

Even if you support people taking a CoVid-19 vaccine, can’t you just imagine anti-gun Democrats having a meltdown over this move?

  1. WOW, WHAT A DEAL! Win a gun and die from the vaccine(?) that you took to win it. Sweet, eh?

  2. I’m not doing a vaccine,so WV [with its high crime rates] won’t entice me to relocate to WV.Give the firearms to non vaxers!Screw the democrats ,Fauci and Big Pharma.

  3. This is no help. Influencing those to get vaccinated by a “bribe” is what politicians do everyday. It destroys the foundation of freedom and free choice. Because many are very weak. So gov justice has done no real research about how ineffective and deadly these vaccines are, which is support by scientific facts and renown doctors. Another RINO to remove! In a year or ? Most of those that received vaccinations will be disabled or dead. Have you not read articles about the side effects in these vials if death. Be useful research this and publicly expose the criminal deceit behind the vaccines. Good luck

  4. “Have you not read articles about the side effects in these vials if [sic] death.” Actually I haven’t. I personally know a lot of people (my wife and me included) that have gotten the shots with absolutely no side effects. Don’t get me wrong – I don’t think people should be forced to get the vaccine, but I don’t think spreading misinformation about ill effects is helpful.

  5. If you don’t agree, don’t participate! And don’t move to WV if it’s not a program you’re interested in. I lived there some years back, in a very small community and enjoyed it very much. Great people in the rural areas.
An innovative idea from the Governor’s office!
